I am trapped by the daughter of deception. (Form: My Own!) |
Candy-Coated Eve ** Image ID #1583151 Unavailable ** I gaze in your eyes and believe. Your sweetness lies upon my tongue, a melody yet to be sung, a promise from the fruit of Eve. You whisper words meant to deceive. They shine so brightly in the light that I can't see the coming night that hides the dark shadow of Eve. It is a shell to which I cleave. The heart inside's an empty place that echoes of my fall from grace into the cold embrace of Eve. I gaze in your eyes and believe. You whisper words meant to deceive. It is a shell to which I cleave, simply a candy-coated Eve. Notes An entry for Round 5 "Invalid Item" Prompt: Image Form: My Own - build your own structured form! You can use meter, rhyme, refrain, anything at all! Make sure that you list your created form at the bottom of your item so I can tell if you followed your own rules correctly. NOTE: This is NOT free verse. My "Form" - hereby dubbed the "Sensual Brook" because it involves all the senses as it babbles on - any similarity to first names of the primary judges is purely coincidental - is a 16 line poem written in: Meter: tetrameter in anything BUT iambic LOL Rhyme: 3 - Quatrains in abba; final quatrain in monorhyme Structure: First lines of each preceding quatrain form the final quatrain. Thank you for taking time to read my words. I would appreciate it if you took a moment and left a comment. Your reaction, impressions, criticisms, - yes, even praise are all equally welcome. Ken |
