A life wasted will leave a stain, a life thats saved will always remain |
I’ve wasted my whole life. From the day I opened my eyes Every following moon and sunrise. Consuming more than my share. My mark is left without a care. Filling the piles of humanity With the aftermath of consumerism. Somewhere beneath this earth Deep within the soils of time. Our ancestors blood gave birth To a legacy of wasteful decisions. And somewhere down the line. We took that fateful design. And decided to multiply. Building great pyramids Of junk and rejected things. Countless diapers, plastic cups, And a glitter of forgotten diamond rings. We are born to an earth of endings And cannot develop a desire of beginnings. One day we will walk through trails of waste Fighting for the last shred of wonder. Unity is something we will never see. Because it's not tomorrow we seek But the inevitable today to fulfill. I pray for a great flood again. Release the jackal from its den. This won't be God’s doing It will be ours. We will flood this world ocean Washing away all of this sadness. This sickening greed and stockpiling Of Machines and overpriced life. Like a grave worm searching over the dead Looking for something new to decay. We look no longer to renewable life. We Build roads from the living! We have paved ourselves. Over the trillions of lives. Who’s decisions are made by its leaders. We have fallen from the tree of life Lying Beneath the musty tomb Of Greed and Materialism |
