I was once a vibrant
Carefree human being
Now the line is faint
Fire burns everything
My back has a bulls eye
It seems or else what
Would cause this and why
That is my only thought
The fire scars my retina
Something i will live with
Until the final orchestra
How could they burn this
My life is out of whack
I cannot find a way to turn
All i can hear is smack
About the fallacious burn
But then one fateful day
My whole existence warped
This was a dubious fate
My whole worth is dwarfed
I become molded to clay
By a nearly fatal sore
I am tossed to the hay
As if i don't exist anymore
I ask a friend to wheel me
To a nearby city park
My body is all but wheeling
So all i can do is harp
On everyone else around
I was but a by standard
To all of life's ups and downs
So i wouldn't even meander
The picture was humbling
The fact was i was still here
No more of the fumbling
I did not need to adhere
To any of people's rules
As long as i was on earth
I could create my own school
Of thought, and self-worth
