Depressing, but was the truth
Kindergarten,
Tinker toys, building blocks, and thin books.
These were an escape
But I was never gone.

As I grew, comments gained more vile ability,
The art of invisibility,
The instinctive sad smile.
I was so fake
But I was never gone.

I looked up to the world,
Crying out for the attention
I was so depraved of:

Look at me!
Look at me!
I hope you know I'm here...
I am not fake
Though I am never gone.

These were the dark times,
The times we wished I never had.
But this was all brought on
By a slowly twisted mind.
I hope someone can listen,
Moreso that they can hear
That I am still here
And still am never gone.

Wait!
A helping hand!
Yes, it helps me to my feet.
Those hands belong to friends
Who are real...

They are here forever
And they are never gone.
