This piece is a poem that I wrote a while back.
A Season Awakens

Winter procrastinates her arrival no further,

but lifts her virtuous and humble head

still groggy from her long sleep,

with a growl she snarles

flashing her angry teeth

and cursing the foul one

who pulled her so abruptly from her slumber.

In her aggravation she never minds the droning technicalities,

having been too soon roused

to have gasped a proper concept of time,

she shows us no love, no mercy,

but dispels to us her nature

and with one deep breath her white cloud underbelly

bulging, swollen and gorged,

splits,

layering us with her bulk of whiteness, her purity,

her deathly cold.
