This is about my dad! I wrote this when I was about 15 when I was upset with him.
No longer daddys little girl
Playing on his knee
Riding horsey on his back
And helping me go pee.

The moments we have together
Wont last as long
Because the dad I once knew
Now is always gone.

It's rare that I see him
And if I do it's fast
Mostly I'll have one eye open
And that moment never lasts.

Once together, now far apart
The talks we had are no more
Because everytime I see him
He's walking out the door.

When the time comes
To notice who hes left
His family watching him leave
Him being gone we have to except.

Some time ago it would seem
That this was never fair
Long hours away from home
I guess he'll never care.

They days that were so dear
Now hace turned too cold
Laughing and playing all the time
The night has gotten old.

No more daddys little girl
And hopefully he'll come to know
That when it comes time to leave
I'm happy to see him go.
