A (mostly) true story about finding love on the internet (Adult Humor) |
Craigslist Personals I answered one of those personals from a lonely gal and we talked and traded stories. She was from my locale. It didn't take too long before we felt we had a bunch of things in common so we decided to meet for lunch. She claimed she was single lady – no ex's and no spouse and so she invited me to have lunch at her house. Okay - the invitation gave me a fantasy or two but little did I realize that it would be a day I'd rue. She met me at her door in her dressing gown. My brain suddenly switched from my up to my down. Her gown was so thin that I could see within that all she was wearing was smooth-looking skin. I can still remember that initial embrace as I just stood there with a grin on my face. I'm sure if I looked I would have seen I was blushing but my cheeks weren't the only place my blood was rushing. By the hand, she led me to a bedroom filled with sun and, looking back, I marvel I didn't break into a run. Now that I look back the whole scene was surreal but I didn't care because what I felt was real. She dropped her dressing gown and asked me "Whatcha into?" The images that passed my mind were summed up as "You!" I couldn't believe the luck that brought me here and there wasn't any doubt – our motivations were clear. That is, until she mentioned several possibilities... all which were followed by a discussion of her fees. Suddenly it all made sense – we weren't two lonely souls. Distributor and consumer were the nature of our roles. I have since sworn off of Craigslist. There are just too many scams. I guess I'm just too gullible but I'm happy with who I am. If you see something listed and it seems too good to be remember the lesson that I learned... nothing is for free! Notes Sorry about the meter... I had to rush this to make the deadline Thank you for taking the time to read... Please feel free to comment - reactions, condemnation for my idiocy, praise... all will be equally accepted! Ken |
