life in a basement
Tired

Written by Mark D. Tuell

Slipping through the cracks

in a floor

to a basement

without a view.

Claw at the walls

trying desperately

to find a door.

No windows,

no lights,

got to find a match.

Darkness fills my eyes,

I can't hear a thought,

is all lost in the found?

I cannot see your face,

don't want to hear your lies,

would you please

just go away from me now?

Cause, I'm nearing my demise

closing tired eyes,

nothing more to be said.

Would you please

just go away from me now?
