Best Friend

On ur birthday dear friend
It is time to turn back the clock and thank u
for ur presence tt stuffed my heart with joy and
ur loves essence tt suffused my sky aglow.

Years before
It was ur warmth and compassion
That took the shape of a variegated feather
Came unto me and touched me.
U sowed a thousand memories,
And asked me
Beautiful, unanswerable questions.
U showed me how to ignore the thorns
and how to feel the roses alone
In the life's unforgiving path.

I wish
Our Friendship stays forever like a star
That shines but never fades out;
I wish
Our friendship outstretches the limits of time
and outgrows the far reaches of cosmos.

Maybe the eternal waters of time
carries us to different worlds.
maybe my ways and ur priorities change.
But I will always remember u
as the one who had trodden with me
In the spring of my life
and more specially
under the heavy clouds of gloom .
Together we have walked through
the mist covered meadows
and the heath-grown moors..
