educational hopes dreams
This quote describes me perfectlybecause as much knowledge as I have I still don't feel like I've reached my full potential because I am not working. I am wondering why I worked so hard to get through college if I wasn't going to be able to work.I am trying to work on my writing portfilo on the Web .com but I need something to put a little cash in my pockets. My dream when I was in the seventh grade was to write a book and tell my story but I hadn't finished my journey. As I made the transition from Junior High to Senior High it was hard because in the seventh and eighth grades I had teachers who took the time to help me if I had a problem. Before my eighth grade year ended several of the teachers along with the Luthern Brotherhood and Luthern church and purchased an electric wheelchair to help with my independence. It came about the middle of my freshman year at first I didn't really care for the chair because I wanted to walk since my legs worked. By my tenth grade year I had just decidedto learn to use the wheelchair but it also mean dealing with the riduculing from other students. I'd act like it was no big deal at school but I'd end up crying about it at home because it really hurt my feelings. I tried not to let what others bother me to much. When I got to the eleventh grade and twelveth grade things easier because I was almost to that "big day". I made some new friends that treated me better. When my senior year finally arrived I thought if I can make it through one more year then I can use my legs to walk. When I started taking classes at the local community college it was just gonna be a couple English classes but I just decide to try to earn my Associate's of Arts Degree. It was a two year program but it ended up taking me seven years.I take a lot of courses over because either I didn't have a good enough understanding or the grade wasn't high enough.I feel like all the knowledge I gained in college is slowly slipping away from me. When I graduated in 2002 I just thought I'd go out and get a job but I was wrong. I went out and took a tour of the Salisbury Post hoping that it would lead to something but it didn't. In 2003 I met my best friend at a local bar and Istarted spending time with her family. I even had a relationship with her counsin. He was similar to me but he just wanted to much. He had the biggest dimples and the bluest eyes. He liked to talk on the phone plus other factors. So I just decided to concentrate on what is important to me which is my writing. So I started going to the library.
