Krista's Crush chapter 3

Chapter 3



The following Saturday morning Krista woke to the loud ringing of the phone on her nightstand. “Hello” she mumbles trying to wake up.



“Hi, I’m sorry, did I wake you up?” Trevor asked in his thickly accented upbeat voice.



“Oh my god, hi, I wasn’t expecting it to be you.” Krista answered excitedly as she ran her fingers through her tangled hair as though he could see her.



“Well I thought that I would come over today and you could show me how to get to Leslie’s,” Trevor suggests.



“That would be great!” Krista said thinking that at least she would get to see him today. Then she began to think of all the things that Trevor did not yet know about Leslie.



“Well tell me how to get to your house then and I will be there in a few hours.” Trevor says.



An hour later, Krista plays at working in the flowerbeds while she watches and waits for Trevor to arrive. When the phone rings, it is Leslie. “Leslie I can’t talk right now I’m busy,” Krista says hoping that Trevor doesn’t show up while she is on the phone.



Leslie says, “Ok, I’ll call you later. I just wanted to tell you that Trevor was coming over today.”



“Well he is coming here first to get directions to your house.” Krista states flatly.



“I know he told me, I was calling to remind you not to say anything.” Leslie pleads.



“Well I can’t promise anything if the subject comes up I can’t and won’t lie to him.” Krista states



Trevor pulls up as they are saying their goodbyes. Krista put a finger to her lips telling him to be quiet. She hangs up the phone and says to Trevor “There are a few things that you should know about Leslie. First, I am 14 Leslie is barely 12. Second, her father is chief of the Indian Park police department.”



“Well it sounds like we need to talk when I get her house then. I will ask her how old she is and what her parents do for a living. That way she tells me herself and it doesn’t cause any problems between the two of you.” Trevor says rationally.



“Well let’s look at that map and I will show you how to get there.” Krista says as she jumps off the steps and runs through the open door of the house.



About 20 minutes later Krista was hugging Trevor goodbye and he tells her that he will come back over after he goes to Leslie’s for a little while. When Trevor left, Krista goes inside and calls Tina. They talk for a little while and then call Jerri with three way calling. The three of them talk for a while and Tina and Jerry decide to come over and stay the night. Krista’s mom Sara allows guys to stay the night, she just stays up until everyone is asleep. Soon after Tina and Jerri get there, Trevor comes back. Krista had just let them know that he was even coming.



“She told me and we broke up.” Trevor states as he walks across the room and sits in a empty chair. Krista follows him to the chair and sits in his lap.  He does not seem to mind. Therefore, she bends in closer and starts to kiss him on the cheek. Just as her lips are about to make contact he turns and she kisses him right on the lips. It then turns into a long deep kiss. That night they slept next to each other arm in arm in the living room floor. Jerri and Tina were asleep on the couch while Sara slept in the chair so that she could keep a close eye on the four teenagers.



The next morning Sara gets up and makes a large breakfast for everyone. Trevor leans into Krista as they sit next to each other eating their breakfast of bacon, eggs, and toast. He whispers quietly into her ear “Will you be my girlfriend?”



Krista jumps up and kisses him as the chair slides nosily across the kitchen floor. She shouts, “of course I will” in her excitement.



“Of course you will what?” Tina asks curious to know why her friend was jumping all over the place so early in the morning.



“Be his girlfriend!” Krista shouts as she jumps up and down still clearly very excited.



“Wow that was fast!” Tina says making it clear that she doesn’t approve of this new development.



“What was fast?” Krista asks as she continues to eat her breakfast from Trevor’s lap.



“Well it hasn’t been long since you and Matt broke up and he just broke up with his girlfriend today. Not to mention that I told you this relationship should be taken slowly.” Tina explains patiently getting slightly more annoyed at having to explain the situation to Krista again.



“What is all the yelling about?” Krista’s younger sister Tracy asks rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she stumbles from her bedroom, which is right next to the kitchen.



“Sorry to wake you up. I just got excited when Trevor asked me to be his girlfriend a few minutes ago.” Krista explains with an apologetic look on her face.



“That’s nice I’m going back to bed it is too early to be up on a weekend.” Tracy says as she tries to stifle a yawn as she walks back into her bedroom and shuts the door.



“Everyone is up awfully early it is only 6am.” Sara points out to the teenagers.



The teenagers spent the rest of the day just enjoying the company of the other three. Soon they tired of playing video games, watching TV, talking, and just goofing around. Someone came up with the idea to have Sara take all four of them to the mall so that they could watch a movie and then just hang out.



Sara agrees to take them as long as they take Tracy with them. Sara figures that way she can get some housework done and not have any one under foot. The group of teenagers discusses it for a few minutes before reluctantly agreeing that she can come along. Their only request was that she takes a friend so that she doesn’t bother them too much. Tracy calls her friend Leigh Anne and invites her to come along to hang out at the mall. She asks her parents and then tells Tracy that she will be over in a few minutes. Soon everyone is crowding into the car for the short trip to the mall.



As everyone walks out of the movie theater Tracy tells them that her and Leigh Anne will meet up with them in a few hours. The two girls then walk off in the opposite direction away from the older teenagers. The rest of the group starts making their rounds around the mall. Krista soon figures out that Trevor is very popular because every few minutes someone wanting to chat with Trevor stops them. The few hours they were at the mall pass by quickly and soon it is time to go home. Sara finds the group standing outside the mall as she pulls up.



“Who is going where?” she asks needing to find out if she is taking everybody to their house or back to hers. Everyone decides that Sara should probably take each of them home except Tina who was going to church with Krista’s family later on that evening especially since they had missed the morning services.



When every one finally got home from church Tina and Krista went straight to Krista’s room. They talked for a few minutes and soon the two girls were fast asleep.
