She sits in her room
Staring out the window
Wondering what life has
Brought upon her.

She has been through
More hurt than anyone can take
How can she hope for
Just one more day?

She sits there wondering
If she’ll ever have what it takes?
Could she ever find someone?
She can count on? Someone who would really care?

She imagines what life would be
When she has a growing family
And a caring husband but
She knows that it mostly likely
never happen.

She only had one true love
And its him to blame
For her bleak and cold heart
She sits there staring not even blinking.

From the shadows stood a tall figure
He came closer to her window
And she saw them man she once knew
He’s back from the dark abyss of her life.

She has so many questions
Where did he go?
Who was he with?
But she doesn’t know if he wants to hear it.

He tells her he missed her
He had to find her…
Its been 6 years she says
Why find me now?

He tells her he had to go
He had to do what was right
But he tells her he came back
Because of her love

He says he loves her like no other
And no one can fill that void in his heart
Where she used to be
Not even the girl he used to see.

I need you in my life
You are the one for me
Let me prove to you
That you belong with me

She doesn’t know what to say
She tries to look the other way
But her heart says
To give him a try.

Maybe life is giving her a second chance
She thinks it will turn out good
What else would this be happening
If there wasn’t true.

Why else would love come back?
