Fountain of Youth

If I withstood the testament
of time would I travel the
ancient lands sail the seas
or sit and think what if?

Would I read the testament
and wonder what it is to
fly in heaven?

Would I stop believing
stop praying?
Would I take part in the evils
that men are capable of?

To live forever is a fantasy.
To live forever must be painful.
How much pain can the heart take
seeing loved ones pass away?

Would my soul grow numb?
Will my love linger away?
