This is a story about an ugly sweater that nobody wanted to wear.
The teacher threw me on her desk like someone would thow something that is disgusting. The girl looked very afraid of me. The teacher told her that I was her's and she had to wear me. I felt loved again until she pushed me off her desk with the end of her pencil. I fell to the cold dirty floor. I thought to myself "arent I dirty enough?" The teacher (whose name I found out was Mrs. Dane) picked me up with two fingers and put me back on that girls desk. She whined that I was not her's and that I was ugly. I was so hurt. I thought that I would be worn again and not thrown in that dirty lost and found pile where all of the other lost clothing was. The girl (whose name I also found out was Sheila) was forced to wear me for the rest of the day.
Lunch time finally came and Sheila was wearing me as she walked into the cafeteria. Everybody around her had their noses covered because I smelled bad. Seriously! What do people expect, I've been laying in a dirty pile of clothes for two months! Sheila could not eat her lunch because my smell bothered her so much. I felt so hated and so unwanted. As lunch ended, Sheila was walking out of the cafeteria when I saw a familliar face approach us. It was Paulette Smith my real owner! Paulette said to Sheila "hey thats my sweater, why are you wearing it?" Shiela didn't say a word because she ripped me off so fast. She gave me to Paulette and dashed away.
Paulette brought me home and threw me into the washing machine. I loved the feeling laundry soap cleaning me. I came out feeling so clean. Paulette put me into her small and cozy closet. It was so much better than that dirty old pile. As I was hanging in the closet, I thought about my day. If Sheila had not of worn me today, I probobly wouldn't be in this nice closet. I am very thankful that Sheila followed her teacher's directions (as most kids don't) and wore me today. And in a funny sort of way, I kind of miss Sheila.
