As twilight beckons us to dance



In streams of stars we fall again

Oh beauty,



You are mine



.. ..



Clever is the way which you persuade



But I am not the longing fools you have seduced before



.. ..



I take your hand and embrace my own heart



I will not beg for mercy from the one who guides the knife



It is I who sees through this fantasy



.. ..



You will not discover I wept or shielded my face in shame



When the sun is all that rests beside me



.. ..



No



.. ..



And while you slip back to the comfort of impartial shadow



I alone will know your name
