Fool on the Hill

The general stands at the crest of the hill, hands on hips. He orders his men into a battle they know they cannot win. Soldiers prepare their weapons as visions of their wives and children flash before them. A sniper's bullet pierces the general's helmet and he falls. Countless lives are saved on both sides.
