A short poem of life
Born in freedom to be fettered in chains,
Brought up to speak the human way;
Joy a mere transient; while every step, pain
Never fails to rob our gay.
Forced to wear a mask of paint,
To hide imperfections nature cruelly gave,
The true self behind could only,
Pray for the day to be seen again;
Sadly, that may be on the day of death.
Men are born free and would die so,
But the rest of the time in between,
He would always remain in chains.
