Holiday Dinner

"Okay, kids, gather 'round.  Tommy, turn off the TV, please."

"What's up, Dad?"

"Okay - I just got off the phone with Uncle Ed and Aunt Lou, and told them we'd definitely be there for dinner on Christmas Eve."

"Aww, Dad!  Do we have to go there?  We always go over there, and you know Aunt Lou - with her, it's always Dinner: Impossible, especially that mincemeat pie."

"Who, Daddy?!"

"Your Uncle Bob!"

"Uncle Bob!  Will he do his magic tricks again?"

"So, Bob's coming.  Hmmm..."

"What About Bob, Laura?"

"Which one of his Girlfriends is he bringing this time, Stan?"

"Uhh, Cindy, I think."

"Cindy?!  She was a stripper at Phil's Bachelor Party, for Pete's sake!  She's Got the Look of someone no longer Flirting With Forty, but trying to look thirty, and I don't like her."

"She's Bob's problem, Laura, not ours.  Just stay away from her and there's a chance we'll all survive dinner in one piece."

"Yes, Dear, there's always a chance, but..."
