A snapshot of the criminal justice system, framed in rhyme.
Don't Do the Rhyme, If You Can't Take the Time


Beauregard Geste, at the time of arrest,
did not plead the Fifth but just confessed.
The defense did its best, at the client's behest,
but the judge simply wasn't impressed.

As you might have now guessed, Beau in orange is dressed
and the jailers think he's quite the pest.
All appeals now addressed, they quite often suggest,
he give thought to his final request.

Last meal eaten with zest, with no chance to digest,
Beau was starting to feel a bit stressed.
Chaplain Jones his last guest, Beau was strapped in tight, lest
he escape the chair as his last jest.
