Rushed, but 50% is true. The bits of the Angel are fiction.
It was a regular hot day at my pop’s shack. It was 45kms out of my town, and I was down on the beach. The wind was strong with a forecast storm approaching. I didn’t care; I just had to be away from everything. I had homework to worry about, my sister was pregnant, and my brother in hospital after a car accident.
Lady Gaga was playing from my iPod, and I felt suddenly energised. I began to run up the beach. I saw a dark shape bobbing in the water. I stopped, looked and my imagination ran away with me.
It looks like a black angel, I thought.
I knew it couldn’t be... firstly, angels don’t exist, and secondly, if they did, they’d be white, not black. I continued up the beach.

The wind picked up in a five second period, and the birds in front of me took flight. I felt like something bad was about to happen. The sea turned a dark green and began to chop. The sand around my ankles began to lift, and fly. I gulped.
I turned and began running back to the shack. It was hard to find the track, and in weather like this, you didn’t want to be stuck in the bush.
I kept running, passed the actual track, and found my pop’s tractor track. I ran up it, my heart racing, and my chest heaving. The wind came stronger, the sky turning black, and rain began to fall.
I found the road that led back to the track, and ran along it, the stones digging into my feet. I reached the shack, and fell in the door. I took a few moments to catch my breath, running wasn’t one of my hobbies.
Mum got me to pack up my stuff, and half an hour later, we headed home.

On the ride home, I kept watching the sky. At some point, I could have sworn I saw something flying in the sky. I frowned, and looked back at the road in front of me.
When mum and I pulled into our drive way, I rushed to the front door. There was a flash of lightening in the front yard; I jumped about a foot in the air, screaming.
Mum came and unlocked the door in a hurry. I went inside and went to my room. I left my door open and lay on my bed. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw my bedroom door closing, but there was no draught in this room, there never was.
I sat up, and saw a dark winged shadow. Their hand was on the door, closing it, closing it. The shadow looked up, stepping into the light.
I saw: The Black Angel.
Gasping, and pushing myself up my bed, I fixed my gaze on the black angel.
“Don’t be scared.” The angel said. The angel was male. I relaxed into the pillow, not taking my eyes off him. The angel walked toward me. He looked up to my face. “I need help getting home.” He said.
“How can I help?” I asked.
“I need to find this symbol.” Angel too out a piece of paper and handed it to me. I looked at it.
“Yeah, I’ve seen that.” I uttered. “I’ll take you there when the storm stops.”
Angel clicked his fingers, the storm eased up, and finally finished. I told Angel to go outside. I told mum I was going for a walk, and left the house.

I walked Angel to the place that I’d seen the sign. He matched it up.
“Thank you. I will always remember you for your help.” Angel said. He disappeared with a flash of lightening.

I rushed home before the storm kicked in again.
