Chapter 1

There they were!
Blotting out some of the stars, it moved across the sky slow and innocently. It was one of several large bodies of mass that were traveling close to earth’s orbit. Each body ranged from the size of a foot ball field to a few the size of the state of Rhode Island. Lumbering through the empty expanse of space at great speed never stopping these asteroids amazed Jason. Looking up through his telescope mesmerized Jason watched them move across the sky. This was the third night they were able to be seen from small telescopes and the first time he was able to find and look at them.
On his tiptoes Jason watched for a minute longer before moving aside to let Cecil look. Comparing the two Jason at one and a half meters tall and Cecil towering over him at above 2 they were a funny pair.
Jason was the younger and looked it; most people would think him sixteen or seventeen not twenty two. His silky soft hair light brown hair was about fingers length on the top of his head cut into a simple fade, messy and spiked at the front this added to his youthful appearance. A large brow with thin eyebrows led to a simple even nose that was slightly turned up at the end. Full seemingly perpetually grinning lips sat about a hard strong chin. His eyes were light hazel and went from blue to green to brown depending on the light. At a closer inspection though they showed every possible colors from orange to red to purple and they gold lines running through is iris looked like a spiders web.
