CAST A SPELL Now I would be, if I could be, a really GOOD kind of witch. I'd cast a spell to cheer the world (that would be a switch!) I'd rustle up some sugarplums, and maybe chocolate too, whatever it would take to make the world a brighter hue. I'd fill my golden pot with moonbeams to brighten the night, perhaps a silver star or two and if I could stir it up right, I'd have an earthly flavor of warm spring rain on the grass so folks could sweeten up their dispositions as they pass. Once cooked to perfection, I would take a bowl of brine and give it to a neighbor whose brew is worse than mine. I hear she uses frog legs, and eyes of newts and such, not very appetizing, it's something I wouldn't even touch! I guess she has her reasons for the gloomy doom ways, she was never very friendly and lives in a kind of haze. If I could only make her smile even one time in her life, I think she'd ask for my recipe and forget all the strife. Alas, I am but a mortal who loves light and sunny days. I am not capable of stirring up a brew to change my ways. I am not a witch with a desire to cast on anyone a spell but if I could, I guess I would give it a try (a tiny bit of Hell). Now I would be, if I could be, a really GOOD kind of witch. I'd cast a spell to cheer the world (that would be a switch!) I'd rustle up some sugarplums, and maybe chocolate too, whatever it would take to make the world a brighter hue. Countrymom 10/23/08 |
