An in depth review of Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie ( comments appreciated) |
Someone asked me: what's Psyclone Jack Hallucinating Hack Thinks Donna Reed Eats dollar bills, about? So I wanted to do a review of the song. Just in case you dont know the song I'll paste it here as well. Who is this irrisistable creature who has an insatiable lust for the dead? Living Dead Girl! Rage in the cage and piss upon the stage There's one sure way o bring the giant down Defunct the strings of cemetary things With one flat foot on the Devils wing Crawl on me Sink into me Die for me Living Dead Girl Raping the geek And hustling the freak Like a hunchback juice On a sentimental noose Operation filth They love to love the wealth Of an SS Whore Making scary sounds Crawl on me Sink into me Die for me Living Dead Girl Crawl on me Sink into me Die for me Living Dead Girl Psyclone Jack Hallucinating Hack Think Donna Reed eats dollar bills Goldfoots machine creates another feind So beautiful they make you, kill Crawl on me Sink into me Die for me Living Dead Girl Crawl on me Sink into me Die for me Living Dead Girl Blood on her skin Dripping with sin Do it again Living Dead Girl So here goes! Physclone Jack - is a rich old man who goes to see strippers. Hallucinating Hack - means that she is so doped up that she's hallucinating (she's so high she doesnt care anymore) Thinks Donna Reed (code name for heroin), Eats Dollar Bills – This means that she’d rather have herself a bag of dope over cash. (buying the dope eats up her dollar bills). To keep going on that verse: Goldfoot machine Creates another fiend So Beautiful, They make you kill Goldfoot Machine - another name for a heroin user. Back in the 60's and 70's people would shoot dope into thier feet so it didn't leave track marks. Creates another feind – Feind literally means that she’s craving this - She's becoming addicted to this drug So Beautiful - Even though she's strung out and high all the time he (the singer) is still falling in love with her They make you kill - This girl will do anything in order to get her dope. To keep going on the song: Rage in the cage And piss upon the stage There\'s only one sure way To bring the giant down Defunct the strings Of cemetary things With one flat foot On the devil\'s wing Rage in the cage And piss upon the stage – letting you know upfront in the beginning of the song that the “living dead girl is, instead of a zombie, she’s a stripper. There\'s only one sure way To bring the giant down – There’s only one way that she can make her money and bring the men who watch her to pay her. Defunct the strings – and that’s to slowly tease them as she takes off all her clothes Of cematary things – letting you know that she visually appears to be dead With one flat foot On the devil\'s wing – This stripper has one steady foot grabbed by addiction and the other in slavery to fuel it. Raping the geek And hustling the freak Like a hunchback juice On a sentimental noose Operation filth They love to love the wealth Of an SS Whore Making scary sounds Raping the geek – these men that are watching her strip are taking advantage of her. She’s called a geek because the singer wants us to know that she’s goth. And hustling the freak – tells us that shes a stripper (but it already does in the beginning of the song when it says “rage on a stage and piss upon a stage”) Like a hunchback juice On a sentimental noose – She’s killing herself with her occupation and recreation activities Operation filth They love to love the wealth – These men are old, dirty, immoral and disgusting (but they’re rich) Of an SS Whore Making scary sounds -This means that they love to love this stripper (whore) who’s trapped and forced to perform by her addiction (like the Jew’s were strapped by the SS) Conclusion: This song is about a man that is falling in love with a stripper that is addicted to heroin. She’s called a “living dead girl” because that is what happens to people who are addicted to heroin for too long. They turn white, become thin as bones and live in a state of delusion. A girl that is strung out on heroin literally looks like a zombie – hence the use of the zombie in the video. After being addicted to heroin for long enough you end up feeling like you are a part of the living dead. All the lines makes sense if you have been through addiction. |
