For the heck of it just don't tell Tom
The night draws on and I begin
to think of what is done and of what could have been
I stand in the room with the dark walls
I feel the warmth in my hands as the body falls
the life less form of my former wife
killed by my best friend for most of my life
he runs around the corner and quickly disappears
as I fall to my knees and feel the tears
for Tom knew what would happen if she came between him and me
of all the days that could not be

I stand up and walk up to Tom
what you have done can not be undone
it was needed so we could have more fun
more fun is ok but did it have to be
that she had to die so you could have glee

This is not for me it is for you
you would never do it if I told you to
well no she was the love of my life my one and only wife
I am your one and only love
I am the only one thing
that has taken care of you through the wind and rain

And now I do this for you and you lecture me
of what is good and what should be
perhaps you forget the past my friend
the things that you have done before the end
the end of your previous life
and one with me and not your stupid wife

sir are you ok I hear a voice say
yes it is just that Tom has found a way
to make me hurt by the death of my wife
she was everything until today

where is Tom the voice from behind me asks
what are you talking about he is the man in black
I see no man in black just a man in white
yelling at a mirror in the middle of the night

the gun carried by the man catches my eye
I pulled it from him and then aimed it at the sky
your right my friend I heard Tom say
I could have chosen another choice then the deadly way
I feel the barrel press against the top of my throat
I hear the man yell something but it brings no hope
I see Tom's finger pull the trigger down
then there is a smell of carbon as my world spins around

I look up to see Tom standing over me
my world goes black and I cease to be
soon after the man lays on the floor
in a pool of blood as Tom walks out the door

I always hated that woman anyway
I slam the door and get into the cab
and drive down the road never feeling bad
about what I had done and my poor wife

so for all you out there watch out for Tom
for he is very sneaky and always around
in the shadows or the depths of your mind
my wife is now dead because I let him out of mine
