My Prayer

Lord, I've awaken and I can not see, this life has proven too much for me.

I've pushed you away, forgotten and lived without you.
Though I could never rid myself of the first feeling you gave to me.
The feeling that one day love would find me, it indeed found me.
Each day I could still feel you watching me, noticing the little things you say to me.
I heard you and felt your touch, I always feel safe with you.
I've been lost for too long, I need you more now more than ever.
I deserve nothing from you, but the way you've spoke to me I can not forget.
My heart has always been with you as you have always been with me.
You brought me the love higher than any star, I am forever grateful.
Now I have lost it, I've been blinded to see my destiny.
I've fallen to the bottom and tonight I come to you in prayer in a poem I wrote. It's been a long time, I can't wait for you to hear my words.

"Love of the greatest"

I met my love with just a single look, the eyes of an angel were staring.
I found myself smiling like never before, I had not known I could be so caring.
She took my hand which marveled my mind, the beauty of her heart surround me.
I've waited so long and held out so much, I was hers forever with that single touch.
The dreams I wished are nothing to this reality, love I have imagined could not compare.
Worth everything under the sun, more beautiful than the light it's self.
I gave her my gift, my heart was no longer mine. I lay victim to your will.
The joy of this feeling was much to believe, I've slipped into her arms.
A kiss like the wind would come across my face, I could hardly feel her lips touch mine.
So small in it's actions, it hit me harder than any before, now my heart lay beside me, for this once I can finally breath.
For this is the one, the only. I am blessed with this presence of true love.
Lord, you answered me, you really answered me.
No other angel will have those wings, her sight has become a picture of my heart.
Only you understand what wonders have been brought into my life.
My love, My love you care for me so, you've brought something I can never let go.
I beg for your mercy as I pray through the night, I can not go on with my love out of sight.
Pull back the curtains so my angel can sing, I'll do anything for the love only this angel can bring. Amen
