An abstract poem about love and moving on.
a promenade on the wood of the boardwalk,
making circles around puddles of light.
fireflies glowing - it's a warm summer evening,
we're too restless for sleeping tonight.

a splinter, some tears, and a heartbreak,
time slows as she sinks to her knees.
I walk away sighing our love song,
and her soul floats away with the breeze.

I stand again in the place I remember,
where she told me she wished she could fly,
the start of what seemed like a lifetime,
and where I spoke my final good bye.
