YOU ARE THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

In every lifetime, there comes a special friend
who lifts you up with a smile and cheerful word.
It's someone who chases away all self-doubts,
who inspires and then makes their praises heard.

She's an inspiration giver when I need it most,
gives me confidence, is a cheerleader and guide.
She's a good friend that is always there to listen
and helps to put my own self-doubts well aside.

I know I'm not the only one she encourages,
she will always take the time to stay in touch.
This lady is special and is a true friend to me
and I have grown to care for her so very much!

She's better than a sister, with a heart of gold,
her spirit shows in the happiness as she brings
her own joy of living into this old writer's heart.
Sherri, YOU are the wind beneath my wings!

A simple thanks just is not enough to give
and there is no way that I can ever repay
the kindness and support you've given me -
and for all the help that's come my way.

But a simple thanks and this little verse
will have to do, I must confess, it's true;
If ever there was a guardian angel on earth
I know I've found her - that angel is you!
