The futility and utility of life.
WHAT IS LIFE?—a double nonet

What is life to which all want to cling?
It is merely a passing show.
We come here with empty hands,
With empty hands we go.
Hands are filled briefly,
But sands slip out.
We regret
About
Life!

But
Regret?
Why should we?
As long as we
Work hard in our life,
And give unto others,
We have done what we came for.
It matters not if we go out
Of the world empty handed, again.
