My old poem from my creative writing class.
Stinging Battlefield

Everyday
I go to
War like this

Sharp needles
Stinging my mouth
Words I cannot shout

Everyday
I go to
War like this

Smoke covers my
Eyes
Blindness I must face

And tears
Shoved down my
Cheeks

Everyday
I go to
War like this

Pain strokes me
And death
Embraces my soul

Everyday
I go to
War like this

Glass shattering
Beneath me

Lies terrorizes
My way of life

Bites and blood
Oozes and pain
Cries and Screeches

It echoes to the drums
In my ears

Everyday
I go to
War like this

Swords lying
On the floor

Blood staining and tainting
Tormenting
And
It can't be washed away

Everyday
I go to
War like this

People shout and scream
Brutal words are thrown

I
Cover my ears
Shut my eyes
Crawl into a ball
In the nearest corner
Of this polluted ground

Let me shrink in
An invisible wall

From this
Gloomy
And
Grey sight

Everyday
I go to
War like this...
