A pessimistic view of seemingly contradictory choices that turn out to be anything but.
Sitting
he watched the sun set
he watched the air sigh
he heard the wind stretch.
Night to some
day to some.
Either way, you never rest.
The frog croaks, wanting a mate
the bird sings: "I do, too!"
Loneliness isn't being alone, it's when someone loves you
but you won't love them back.
The frog
The bird
relax with the air
or swim with the sun.
Either one will make you cold.
Take a sweater, carefully.
Put it on, cautiously.
The pen flows, so does the river, the current, is it ink or water?
Either way, the sun doesn't remember.
But the air does.
Thankfully.
Graciously.
Happily.
Let's be tired with one another, now.
