Tully's always know how to sober a guy up.
I'm too damned old for this, he sighed,

It was fun for a time

But now I'm tired.

My age dictates that these late nights must cease,

That these long talks be boiled down to a simple exchange of pleasantries,

That these emotional highs and lows take backseat to blessed mediums.

I'm too damned old for this, he sighed,

The tears, and the hugs, and the making up and breaking down;

I'm quite sure none of it is worth this price.

Never have I been so aware of age.

Of limitations.

Of a fan that can't handle quite as much shit hitting it anymore.

I'm too damned old for his, he sighed,

And at nineteen that makes me want to cry

For lost youth, and wasted time, and everything else that makes a good Bryan Adams song.

I can't imagine experience would have been much help.

Or you.

Or me.

Or her.

It is what it is.

And I'm too damned old.
