Harangue

Sleep all day; sleep all night,
Is something wrong, or am I alright?

Drown your sorrow in crimson springs,
Where Angels gather to bathe their wings.
Shed a tear for those who've fallen,
Applaud the effort of those who're crawlin'.

Another night gone, another day wasted,
Know I have to, but just can't face it.

The planets align in their path,
Weeping, they look on at the aftermath.
Homeless children asleep in the street,
Few are rescued, while many suffer defeat.

Seasons may come, seasons may go,
I'm dying again, but they don't know.

The skies will fade from blue to gray,
The oceans will all go away.
Creatures will flee to the hills,
As lonely kids keep popping pills.

Look to the stars, look to the moon,
Say your goodbyes, I'll be gone soon.

Let your lives go to hell,
Act as if no one can tell.
Go to your Gods and beg for forgiveness,
Ashamed by you, I'll bet they dismiss this.

Ask yourself how, ask yourself why,
A lesson from me: don't let yourself die.
