Why not chase those clouds
Across the clear blue sky?
Why not chase
that beautiful butterfly
across this big ol' earth?
Why not sit and think
About the color of a flower?
Why not let the world know
That your color is pink?
Why not tell him
That you love him?
Don't make that mistake
of leading him on
if you don't care for him.
Don't be cruel.
Don't not let him know
If you love him so.
Remember, don't go too far.
Listen to you parents
for they love you so.
Listen to you heart.
Listen to what it tells you.
But most important,
Listen to your God
For he loves you
Even if your man doesn't.
God is there to hear your cries
He wipes away your every tear.
His shoulder is always there.
Why not let him know
of the troubles
that have sown your soul.
