Hello again, everyone!

Today I am talking about a serious issue. News stations everywhere are constipated with the FLDS raid and court trials. I really feel for them. It's not right that someone should have their children taken away because of a phone call. But I am not here to address that.

There have been many confused people out there who think that Mormons belong to the FLDS sect. They blaspheme us because of Warren Jeffs, 'our prophet', and they say cruel things everyday about us. We are NOT the FLDS church. The FLDS church was formed by a sect that left our church. They were excommunicated from our church because they started to live in ways that our church was not at all encouraging. Warren Jeffs is absolutely NOT our prophet. We neither support him nor do we associate with him. Our prophet is Thomas S. Monson, a very religious, humorous, and kind man that I've almost adopted as a grandpa, even though I only get to see him on LDS General Conference Broadcasts on TV.

Everyday we get mocked for being "FLDS" when we are not. They do not worship the way we do, they do not live the way we do, and they do not act the way we do. We are completely different religious sects. Please do not get confused by what people say about us. We are different. We are not them.

Email me if you have questions.

Isn't it the weather just gorgeous? I guess there are those of you out there who live where it's not but right now I'm just appreciating the warmth where I live. It snowed yesterday and I prayed that the weather would warm up. Low and behold, it has! It's so nice! I just want to go swimming or hiking. The outdoors are calling to me! Let me tell you, if you can get everyone in your town to pray for good weather, you will have a lot of miracles happen.

The mountains are snow capped yet the valley is green. The flowers aren't blooming but babies are dropping like clearance rack prices. Horses are running and birds are singing. It just makes you happy to be alive! I hope that we have a warm summer. I haven't minded the cold until this past winter. I always love spring, too. There are so many baby animals all over the place!

I hope that you keep the spirit and the hope for warm spring-like weather with you! Hopefully, we can all pray and make a difference!

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday!

Today I got a chance to sing in a choir for stake conference. For those of you who don't know, a ward is a gathering of church members. Only a certain number of people can fit in our chapels so they divide up the times we have church and they divide us into even groups, called wards. An area of wards is called a stake and a stake conference is when every person in every ward for every church in that area has a conference in the biggest meetinghouse in the area. If that makes sense.

Anyway, talk about miracles! Nobody in our stake found out about the choir until yesterday, the day we right before performance time! We didn't even know the songs yesterday and today when we got up to sing the songs, we sang amazing! Even with only two hours of practice, total! Of course there were a lot of prayers that this would go over well, and it did! If you are in need of a miracle, pray and attend your meetings! It really helps!

Email me, people.

Good Morning! I guess for a lot of you it's actually night . . . Oh, well! It's 7:54 for me!

I just want to tell you about my seminary experiences. For those of you who don't know, seminary is a religious class that you can take before, after, or during school as "release time" and, my, is it a release! Yes, it's for LDS students but I think that anyone can take it. It's really a humbling religious experience. And a fun one!

This year's seminary theme is 1 Samuel 16:7- "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." This is in the King James version of the Bible. And, yes, Mormons do study and read the Bible, in fact, all of this year's seminary lessons are centered around the Bible. 1 Samuel 16:7 so happens to be a scripture mastery. Scripture masteries are basically really good or meaningful scriptures that we as Latter Day Saints are asked to memorize and apply to our lives. I especially like the scripture mastery above.

How is any religious class fun? You might wonder. Let me tell ya! Seminary is the funnest hour of the school day! To help us understand the faith we need to have in the 10 Commandments, or "the laws", in other words, we had to stand in a corner of the room, lift a bowling ball that was tied to a hook in the cieling, let it go flying and trust in the law that says that any pendulum will not return to the same place twice. Talk about faith! No one got hurt, but a lot of us learned a fantastic lesson. We also have food days when everybody brings their favorite treat and we sit, get to know each other, and watch sometimes.

The lessons are always amazing, though. The other day we learned about David and Goliath and how David refused to wear Saul's armor because it wasn't his. Basically, the docterine here is that you cannot be somebody else. You can't wear someone else's armor. You have to be your own person with your own armor. It was really good for me because I kind of have a hard time of finding out who I really am. We also talked about how David ran straight at the Philistine giant. He didn't stay put. He didn't run the other way. He ran head on into the pathway where Goliath was standing. We were asked how many of us would run straight at our fears and our "Goliaths" like that. It made me feel like being more courageous, that's for sure.

Seminary is not just some religious class where snot drips out your nose and saliva drizzles out of your mouth. It's a class that gets me away from the worries of the school and into my own little bubble of peace, solitude, and self discovery. I also have an extremely awesome time.

Like I said, please email me if you have any questions about me or my religion! I would love to answer your questions!

Hi everybody! This is me, this is my blog, and this is hopefullly a way to help anyone who needs it and answer some questions at the same time!

Yes, I am indeed a Mormon. I'd rather be called a Latter Day Saint, though. Thanks! Yes, I have a weakness for potato salad and green Jello and I can't date until I'm sixteen, but, despite what you might think, I love my religion and I live it to its fullest. I feel like the last man (woman) standing as my peers are swept into alcohol and . I feel like I'm the freak show because I live what I believe. And you know what? I feel happier than most people could ever claim to be.

Many people think that religion binds you. That it wraps around you and cuts off your circulation so that you can't even batt an eyelash without feeling trapped. Many people are wrong. Religion is the balm that soothes your pains and past scars. It's a source of freedom like you'd never imagine. I can do what I want, believe in what I do, act like I should, and still feel like I am happier than anyone else.

To clarify many misconceptions, yes, Mormons dance. Yes, Mormons have fun. It's sick to have to clarify that your religion lets you have fun. I probably have more fun than a lot of people here! No, we do not practice and yes, we do believe in Christ. Our whole religion is centered around him and it disgusts me to see people through barbs at us about us not being Christian. Without Christ, we would be nothing. How could we not believe in Christ? To me a belief in Christ is the starting point of any religion. He is the reason I'm here. He's the reason you're here. Remember this.

If you have any questions about me or my religion, email me! I'll help you out, I promise. And who knows? Maybe your conceptions will change . . .
