I walk through a beautiful forest
Wearing not but the skin I was born with.
In my arms I carry a small white bundle.
I caress the bundle affectionately as I walk
And hum a soothing lullaby.
Something within the bundle stirs
And I can't help but beam;
It is part of a mother's nature.
Suddenly I have found what I was looking for.
The stream was so beautiful and cool;
It felt pleasant on my bare skin.
I waded out into the middle of the stream
And without any hesitation at all
I plunged the, now thrashing, tiny white bundle
Deep beneath the flowing water.
Children's cries immediately echoed around me
And blood spread quickly throughout the stream.
I was then conquered by a dreadful ache
Causing me to collapse into the reddening water.
I jolted awake in bed and realized too late
That I had lost the baby.
