A poem about homeless

I saw you walking down the beach tonight
Trash drops from your bag as you walk on by
Your eyes search for one that will make it right
From afar I could hear your lonely sigh
The waves wailed as the wind blew and day grew
Perhaps you do have a place to call home
Maybe you have loved ones there for you too
Oh, why then do you so aimlessly roam?
You pick up someone's forgotten treasure
Then coughs violently as if you would die
How does the value of your life measure?
Dying in a loveless fit where you lie
Will anybody shed a single tear?
As you reminisce of all you held dear
