More relationship prose

A cup of tea
No one brews but me
A night so stark
The darkness leaves a mark

I knew it would come to this
I surely knew it couldn’t miss
The pain has taken physical form
That’s far beyond the body’s norm

It goes beyond just missing you
When the heart’s been broken in more than two
The pain and emptiness not only persist
Show how the body-form, in pain, exists

The emptiness, the hurt, the harm
(All exacerbated by your charm)
Have become the body’s real pain
Every time I think your name

Some say it’s the flu
I say it’s the response long overdue
The aching limbs, the painful joints
Making the inevitable point

Take the time to cry
No need to reason why
Take the time to cry and deal
It’s the only way to heal.
