Poem for the holocaust remembrance and Israel's anniversary.
Where is...?

On the way to Aushwitz,
I travel with one hope...one wish.
To find a moment of epiphany and bliss,
to write something meaningful for those we miss.

Where is that lost connection,
and hope for society's perfection?
To those whose destiny received a twist,
and those who were never for the last time kissed.

From this land of filth and heracy,
comes my people's interrupted legacy.
One born and raised of plight and worry,
that matured into one of pride and glory.

Where is the respect of un-measured reserve,
that our honorable fallen so greately deserve?
To those that threw up their hands with white doves,
and were deprived of roots, posessions and those they love.

During a time of no food...of beliefs so crude,
empty bowls and shattered souls,
people's faith and humanity were tested.
A loss of hope and will was what the world expected.

To that ultimate solution, that so promised fame,
we state here today that it brought nothing but shame.
We do so by standing united to pray,
for those who here so tragically lay.

From all corners of the earth,
our voice to a new hope gives birth.
Hope of something moving, hope of something grand,
Hope that deserves our most solid stand.

We stand here in representation,
full of love, thanks and admiration.
With one message....and one shirt.
Promising to never again be treated like dirt.

Where was than undeniable surrender?
Our enemies' victory and splendor?
Her is the never erased jewish religion,
that overcame an undeniable road to perdition.

It is here, for now and forever.
Through anger and hate, rain and weather.
We must be smart, we must be clever.
Always remind and always remember.
Keep it in mind, for now and forever.
