Rain I remembered when I was just five, I would play, scooping rain in the small drain and throwing it to a friend. Making a paper boat is the best; we would place it in a line and ready get set, go! All of us will cheer and hope to get on the winning spot. Rain is the best time to play, but soon after; I'll got beaten up by mum. I'll run the whole neighbourhood, even before she touches me. When I was younger than five, rain is a nightmare for me. I thought there's a monster somewhere in the sky, whenever I heard the roars. I would hide behind mum crying, while she's cooking. Mum told me that there's nothing to be afraid of, and the rain is a monster's tear. I actually believed her, and stop crying. I would stand near the window staring at the rain. Now as an adult, I still love the rain, and sometimes, I do feel like playing in it like; I did in my childhood period. I've done it once, and got funny stares from strangers. Remembering the song – Rain, rain go away, come again another day, little children want to play; well I guess the words have to be change because the rain doesn't have to go, as it reminds me of the old time. I now place my bed next to the window, and when the rain comes, I'll lay down in bed and let the rain beats me. It's a nice feeling! But my hubby would shut the window, as he doesn't want the bed to get soak. ends |
