Teach Children To Throw Gum in Trash after chewing it |
THE BUBBLE GUM BEAR Dar once was a bear with such beautiful hair. One day she went walking. She made everyone stare. Her coat was so shiny that it glowed in the sun, And she didn't understand why she made some folks run. She sure liked to play with whatever she found. But last week she stepped on something sticky on the ground. This ''THING' stuck to her paw, so she sat down to see.. But just when she smelled it, it now stuck to her knee. She tried licking it off, and it tasted so yummy...... So she chewed and she licked what was stuck on her tummy. When she tried to blow it all off, soon a big bubble grew But finally it burst and THAT STUCK TO HER TOO !! Now, her mama appeared and said" What on earth have you done?" "Your hair is all matted---Do you think gum is fun?" "Come on, little bear, now a lesson you must learn. Remember the bee hive, just around the next turn?" "But, Mama, I promisted not to go there anymore. Remember all the bees, when I broke down their little store?" "How they buzzed me and then bit me, it hurt sooooooo very much! My paws were all swollen, my nose I could not even touch." Mama couldn't bear to see her little bear looking scared and so forlorn. So she brought her to the river on that lovely sunny morn. "Now you wait here in the water, I'll be back in just a little while." Mama's always know what's best, and it made her baby smile. Then Mama went to get some honey from the bees who were her friends. They knew Mama bear was careful and the hive they'd not have to mend. She had brought a little pail someone had left lying in the sand. And filled it with honey, and went down to the river again. Cold river water and the honey surely did the trick. Rubbing, scrubbing furry hair, helped the bubble gum unstick. So poleeze......... Remember this story, put your gum into the trash. Cuz you just never know when a bear might be going past. It takes a long time to unstick your chewed up gum If it lands on the ground when chewing is all done. So remember this lesson--Don't throw chewed up gum around In case the Bubble Gum Bear comes a strollin' through your town. Anita Frauenshuh |
