You're selfish. You know that?
Torn Up Inside

Pieces, my pieces lie on the floor
Where you left them
They’re shattered into a million imperfect fragments

First you started to destroy me from the inside
I knew you’d leave my heart for last
Who knew it’d be the easiest to break

I gave into humanity
I should have stayed in my safe fantasy
Where I could quietly clean up the mess you made of me

Like a cracked mirror
That’s what I was
Still repairable in ways
But no longer in mint condition

I was useless
Unless I was showing your sad excuse for a reflection

Damaged, torn, destroyed, demolished, annihilated, diminished
I could continue my list of adjectives
Sorry my vocabulary is limited

I’m not asking you to come back
I’m not asking you to fix me
I’m just asking you to grow up and clean up your own messes

My heart is broken now, and in pain
It’s your fault, what are you going to do about it?
Just don’t leave me on the floor
Just don’t step on me
