The Adventures of Rob Baker in California, 1883
Shades of Blue: Prolouge (Rob's Journal)

Dear readers:
Before I begin, let me tell you how this story works. This story is divided into two main areas: Rob's Journal and the main story. If you see one chapter marked "Rob's Journal" then that's what it is. Check it out, and if you like what you see then keep reading.

June 29, 1883

Name's Rob Baker. My dad is Jack Baker. We fish and hunt for the city of angels. Funny thing is, we aren't in Los Angeles that often. We have a guy bring the deer and other game bring them into the butcher. Nice guy. His name is John, I think. Not sure of his last name.
When I was a child, half of my town was burnt to the ground by indians. My mother was unfortunate enough to be on the side that was destroyed.
My dad is all I have, all I've ever had. I would never say it to his face for fear of sounding like a little girl, but I love the old man.
Anyway, hunting game is an okay gig, if you can deal with the bugs and the heat of southern California in June. It's late, and I'm just too damn tired to keep writing. I have to hit the hay if I have even an off chance of getting up at dawn tommorow.

Rob Baker

Authors note- I'm too lazy to write more... but keep me in mind if you like what you see here.
