this is what i want to be
REFINED

A LOST SOUL LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO REST
SEARCHING FOR APLACE TO CALL THEIR OWN

YOU COME TO THEM WELCOMING THEM WITH OPEN ARMS
ASKING NOTHING GIVING EVERYTHING

HOPING , LONGING AND DESIRING FOR THEM TO LET YOU LOVE THEM
BUT THEY CAN’T, THEY WON’T FOR THEY ARE UNLOVABLE, UGLY AND UNWORTHY

YOU AGREE,
THAT IS WHY YOU SENT YOUR SON TO MAKE THEM LOVEABLE,
BEAUTIFUL AND WORTHY

THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND
THEY DON’T HAVE TO
BUT THEY WANT TO SO DESPERATLY

“WHAT DO YOU WANT THEY CRY”
“TO LOVE ME” YOU RESPOND
“AND LET ME LOVE YOU”

God, help this lost soul to accept the you love have for them. Help them to learn to be loved by you. Let them learn to love who you are making them to be.

God you loved your people Israel, you loved your son Jesus. Yet you let them both go through suffering and experience shame and loneliness at times.
You needed to refine them.

Being refined is not easy. In fact it is often very hard, trying and sometimes very lonely.
If only….
There were another way to completely have the moral imperfections removed
If only…..
We did not have to go through it
If only…

But God we do go through it, we do suffer and we do experience shame and loneliness
Through it all God you will bring us
We can learn from it and be made beautiful because of it
The scars will tell a story
The story will be about you

I praise you and thank you father God for who you are and what you have done in my live. The refining is not pleasant and I want it to be over.
But God I know that you are not finished yet and there is a lot of work to be done yet. Please God, help me to recognize the areas in which I must give to you.

Give me ears to hear what you are saying through others and eyes to see how my words, thoughts and actions affect those around me.

I am being refined…..
