A story about the first snow
The First Snow

"Mommy, it hasn't happened yet, it's never gonna happen!" "Now Jenna, it's only the beginning of December. Be patient." Jenna sighed, "I don't want to be patient, I want it to snow!" It was December 5th and the first snow had yet to arrive. Jenna and her family had been waiting and waiting. Jenna imparticular knew that the first snow was full of magic.
She was very anxious this year for snow, she wanted a white Christmas. The McDerminds already had their Christmas tree, nutcrackers, creshes, and garland. All that was missing was snow. Everynight, Jenna went to bed wishing for snow and every morning she was disappointed. The weather reports showed no signs of a storm anytime soon. So Jenna went to school and daydreamed about snow for weeks.
Soon it was Christmas Eve and not a flake had fallen. Jenna had given up all hope. She and her older brother set out the milk and cookies for Santa and headed up to bed. Jenna's mother and Aunts came up to tuck them in. "Don't worry baby, we'll have a wonderful Christmas with or without snow." I know, but snow would make it perfect." "We love you Jenna, Nighty night." And Jenna fell right to sleep. At around 2 am, Jenna had a nightmare and got up to use the bathroom. When she came back to her room, she peeked out the window. Little snowflakes were beginning to fall from the clear skies above. It was a Christmas miracle! Snow! They would have a white Christmas after all!! The snow was coming down quickly and thickly now. It was a blizzard. Jenna crawled back into bed and said a prayer of thanks.
The next morning, the entire family was full of Christmas spirit and joy. At least 6 inches of sparkling snow had fallen since Jenna woke up last night. A blazing fire was started and cocoa was passed all around. The McDerminds gathered round the tree and sang carols. The true meaning of Christmas was now apparent to the whole family, togetherness and happiness.
May God Bless you all this holiday season.
