poem girl meets boy
Anonymously sent pictures, fell out.
He glanced at the floor, pictures strayed
He eyed the girl hiding behind the pillow.
She piqued his interest, curiosity
and warmed his heart.  She was the one.
He would return to make her his bride.

He knew nothing of her, she a bride
once before, he would seek her out.
Courting her with red roses one by one.
He took his time for things not to get strayed.
His goal, that of the wedding curiosity,
and bring his true love to his pillow.

Restless at night his tears stained his pillow.
How was she to know that she was to be his bride.
In his imagination, only curiosity
and bravery would bring him out,
to conquer but not divide.  His mind strayed
with doubt, he needed to assure himself she was the one.

She sent old pictures not to just anyone,
but to a soldier in the war.  The picture with the pillow
was chosen, not too risque, the others strayed
on the bed, it was her favorite, but being a bride
was not in her head.  She had just come out
of a union and there was no more wedding curiosity.

Maybe the pictures will pique his curoriosity
and maybe she'll try again, he could be the one,
there's been so many duds when she goes out,
and the pictures sent, the one with the pillow,
could give the wrong impression, not of a bride
but of a harlot that has gone astray.

That's not what she was about, her mind now strayed.
She was a good girl whose camera curiosity
overcame her one night, just like a bride
on her wedding night,  She hoped she'd be the one
to lift his spirits.  So far away, his head on a pillow
staring at the chosen photos as his heart beats out.

Strayed across the ocean, he is only one.
Curiosity nervously consumes him while he lies on his pillow.
The bride he has dreamed of is gazing at him without.
