This is about turning irritations into good features. It's all your perspective.
My husband's ten best characteristics

1. He is so patient, he can figure out how to adjust the computer when it freezes, or otherwise doesn't work.
2. He can fix things after I get stuck trying to fix them.
3. He can talk in a soothing "valium" voice to calm me and the cats.
4. He knows alot.
5. He cares about how I am feeling and about my physical aches and pains--long after I am tired of dealing with them.
6. He is secretly sentimental and surprises me when he occasionally reveals that his favorite tie is the one he wore when we got married.
7. He is calm and optimistic at the most difficult of times. On 9/11 he remained calm and drove me home from my canceled flight. When I fell and broke my leg, he got me to the emergency room, made all the phone calls and drove me 100 miles home.
8. He makes me wear a seatbelt.
9. He encourages me to be independent.
10. He hardly ever advises me not to do something.
