~I'VE BEEN WHERE YOU ARE~

"Oh Lord", I cried the other night,
"I need to talk to you;
I have so many problems,
and I don't know what to do.

I feel so helpless and alone,
it seems like no one cares;
No one understands my pain,
nor whirlpool of despair".

And there I sat in the darkness,
wiping the tears from my eyes;
They fell to the ground, without a sound,
in the stillness of that night.

"Oh Lord, it seems like no one knows,
the pain I'm going through;
They turn away from my dismay,
and my sorrow sticks like glue.

Oh Jesus, I long to hear from you,
a touch is what I need;
To ease my fear's, to know you're near,
to help me find Your' peace".

I sat quietly in the still of the night,
as I listened, though my heart was weak;
I heard a small voice, and I rejoiced,
as Jesus began to speak.

"My Child, I feel your' pain,
and I hurt so much for you;
But I am here, so please don't fear,
for your' troubles I'll help you through.

I know you feel so very alone,
and this is one reason why;
I was sent from above, God's beloved Son,
to give you Eternal life.

You see, I've been where you are tonight,
I've felt your' pain and despair;
For I too was a man, so I understand,
your' heartaches and your' cares.

I see the tears you shed each day,
and I catch them in my Hands';
I cried my own tear's, through the 33 years,
that I walked upon your' land.

I've sit in the darkness, in the still of the night,
surrounded with fear, just like you;
In the garden I Prayed, trying to be brave,
though I knew what I had to do.

My child, I love you with all of my heart,
and this I want you to know;
The blood that I shed, for you my dear friend,
was my love which freely flowed.

Now wipe away the tears that you cry,
and my Promise please believe;
I am always here, so very near,
and I will never leave".

I sat and listened to that still, small voice,
while my tear's began to cease;
For I felt His love, from up above,
surround me with His peace.
