My Angel

"My Angel"

I have an angel
Although she cannot see
The reality of her greatness
And the strength she gives to me

Through her eyes
I see the world in a different light
Through her love
I get through the struggle and fight

Through her wisdom
A path for me will clear
Through her being
Is someone I hold so close and dear

She's strong, smart
Beautiful outside and in
She's selfless and willing
A remarkable friend

By God's grace
My angel was sent to me
And through God's blessing
Friends forever we will be

My comfort zone
My rock, my safe place
My laugh, my smile
My saving grace

I don't know where I would be
If God didn't send her to salvage this heart
To put back the pieces of the puzzle
She knew exactly where to start

I try so many times to thank her
But where do I begin
It's almost something impossible
Like trying to catch the wind

If my angel could see my heart
She would know exactly what I see
And when I tell her of her great stature
She would always believe me

How can a heart care so much
How can one love beyond what one can see
I may not understand the answer
But my angel is proof that's what God also did for me
