Read and find out, there's a twist. Sestina poem.
The allure of your eyes made me gaze
Turning to meet you with a smile
My legs are set into motion, dragging my body with it
Yet I am distracted and turn away
When I turn back you are inches apart from my face
Grinning, you steal a kiss

My knees are weak from your breathtaking kiss
But there is something happening as I follow your gaze
Someone has fainted, but I cannot recognize their face
Leading me from the scene you smile
But I do not wish to be whisked away
I will have none of it!

I insist on seeing it!
Did this woman faint from a kiss?!
Why are you trying to pull me away?
Looking at a spot on the wall, averting my gaze
You no longer smile
I cup your chin, so we are face to face

Tears now stain your face
What is going on? What is it?
I try to make you smile
Nothing will do, not even a kiss
I now shift my gaze
The woman has now passed away

You are pulling away
The story is written all over your face
I see the woman, your true love, in your gaze
It's true, isn't it
That her last gasp of breath was taken with a kiss
Sadly, you smile

I apologize for your sorrowful smile
I understand that I must pull away
I leave you with a lingering kiss
And you gently caress my face
As if to memorize it
Neither of us wanting to break our gaze

I lightly smile, breaking the gaze
I am going far away, yet I didn't mean to end it
My undoing was a weak heart and a kiss, but my love is still remanant in your face
