It's a sad tragic poem about two lovers
Helena-

She was beauty,
So Fair adn true.

With lips of blood,
And eyes pale blue.

Oh sweet Helena,
Love me back.

With your pale skin,
And hair ebony black.

She walked about,
The streets of Main.

When I saw and loved her,
But I saw in her face pain.

She smiled,
But beyond I saw.

Her sadness and anger
For she was to marry a man,
Not by love, but law.

I took her hand and kissed it,
She stole my hearts,

But little did I know,
What would draw us apart.

She was beauty,
So fair and true.

With lips of blood,
And eyes ebony blue.

Oh sweet Helena,
Love me back.

With your soft pale skin,
And hair ebony black.

We met in secret,
Whether it was day or night.

It didn't matter what people wanted,
We loved wrong or right.

But one evening,
WHle we kissed in the sun.

Her father was there,
Drawing his gun.

Along beside him,
Was the man she was to wed.

And from that moment,
I know I would be laying,
Sleeping in deaths' red bed.

She held me tight,
I kissed her red lips and held her close.

" Run. " I whispered.

The gunshot was heard.

Maybe we loved,
But were not ment to be,

Was what I said to my sweet Helena,
As she layed dying beside me.

They took her body away,
But never her soul and I never did love a love like her.

Never Could I sare,
What I shared with her.

She was beauty,
So fair and ture,

With lips of blood,
And eyes pale blue.

Oh my sweet Helena loved me.
And I loved her back.

As I walk alone now,
In the night so ebony black.
